Remcom announced today that it has been included in Inc. magazine's 27th annual Inc. 5000 list of the fastest-growing private companies in the United States. Remcom has provided electromagnetic simulation software for design engineers and EM professionals for nearly 15 years.

According to Inc., the list is the most comprehensive look at the most important segment of the economy - America's independent-minded entrepreneurs. "Our second annual Inc. 5000 continues the most ambitious project in business journalism," said Inc. 5000 Project Manager Jim Melloan. "The Inc. 5000 gives an unrivalled portrait of young, underreported companies across all industries doing fascinating things with cutting-edge business models, as well as older companies that are still showing impressive growth."

The Inc. 5000 list was chosen and ranked based on percentage of revenue growth from 2004 through 2007. To qualify, companies must be U.S.-based, privately held, for profit, and independent (not a subsidiary or division of another company).

Raymond J. Luebbers founded Remcom in 1994 with two of his graduate students, Scott Langdon and Christopher Penney. The former president and CEO had this to say about the honor: "After years of hard work and the challenges of operating a small company, it was a pleasant surprise to be recognized for our growth." When asked how Remcom has sustained this growth, he said, "Remcom has made good business decisions regarding the diversification of our business between government and commercial contracts, ensuring our success in more than one niche. In addition, a strong reinvestment in R&D has enabled us to create state-of-the-art products that generate employee enthusiasm. We've been fortunate to attract and retain highly talented and creative professionals who are passionate about channeling customer needs into the features of our software."
