New company introduces proprietary interactive advertising, information, and revenue-generating system, called REMESYS™, to outdoor, indoor and venue media companies. Uses wireless-mobile (WiMo) and Internet technologies to create an interactive and ongoing relationship between advertisers and their audiences, and display, distribute and introduce products and merchandise to millions of consumers daily, 365/24/7.

RewardMedia Systems, Inc. (http://www.reward-media.com), formed in May, is launching its proprietary interactive advertising, information, and revenue-generating system, called REMESYS™, to outdoor, indoor and venue media companies. (REMESYS received patent-pending status with the USPO in June 2006.)

Using readily available wireless-mobile (WiMo) and Internet technologies, the new system creates an interactive and ongoing relationship between advertisers and their audiences, or A2A communications. When in place, REMESYS will display, distribute and introduce products and merchandise to millions of consumers daily, 365/24/7.

“REMESYS opens new opportunities for both advertisers and media companies by adding hundreds of thousands of new and enhanced locations to their current display inventories,” says Robert Fisher, one of the company’s five founders and co-CEO/President. “Media companies can sell display times and locations to complement ongoing billboard and signage programs, as well as customized and pinpointed campaigns in first-time demographic areas.”

Outdoor Advertising Enjoying A Renaissance

Spending on outdoor advertising, which had been stagnant at $5.2 billion annually from 2000 through 2002, began rising again in 2003 and hit a record-high $6.3 billion in 2005, according to the Outdoor Advertising Association of America.

“With this renaissance in outdoor media market,” says co-CEO/President Patrick Murphy, “our timing to launch REMESYS is perfect, and we see the potential for hundreds of millions of media dollars to be layered into the current environment.”

RewardMedia has identified four key markets in its first-phase rollout – billboards, school zones, malls and venues, and pedestrian – that allow advertisers to capitalize on consumers’ lifestyles. Using both existing and new signage, advertisers download points through a member’s transponder into a consumer’s account that can then be redeemed for merchandise and services, ranging from hamburgers and clothing to automobiles and vacations.

Signs can be mobile or fixed and can stream both live and programmed data. In school zones, for example, a unique REMESYS sign can include an approaching vehicle’s

speed, looped advertiser messages based on the day and time, the advertiser’s logo, emergency/weather/ traffic information, etc. Data can be programmed or can be manually managed.

On traditional outdoor, mall and venue signage, A2A interaction is created by a wireless link between a sign’s transponder and a RewardMember’s transponder. Once the link is established, points are downloaded to the RewardMember’s password-protected online account. Points are rewarded as specific advertiser coupons or can be converted to coupons selected by the RewardMember. Coupons are then printed and redeemed at the advertiser’s location.

The REMESYS premise is that people are psychologically drawn to rewards and are motivated by discounts. “For years, advertisers have proven their willingness to give away the crust to sell the pie,” said Murphy. “REMESYS is a new method of fulfilling consumers’ old, proven cravings-for-savings. It is the wireless-mobile (WiMo) version of S&H Green Stamps.”

The motivation for virtually anyone to carry a transponder is to collect points for products, services and merchandise that define a person’s lifestyle, including frequent flier miles, discounts at resorts, hotels, restaurants, movies, cruises, fast-food outlets, sporting and entertainment events, tires and batteries, clothing, jewelry, supermarkets, kid's toys, dayspas/medspas, cosmetics, clothing, BMW-Mini cars, and Harley-Davidson motorcycles, clothing and merchandise, tools, Ford trucks, computers and software.
