Today Jungle Disk, LLC, a subsidiary of Rackspace (NYSE:RAX), the world's leader in the hosting and cloud computing industry, announced the availability of a free Jungle Disk App that allows users to access and manage their data stored with Jungle Disk via iPhone®, iPod Touch® and iPad(TM). As the newest addition to Jungle Disk's portfolio of online backup and storage solutions, the app expands the number of ways Jungle Disk users can store, backup and share data in the cloud.

To kick off the app release, Jungle Disk has announced "Jungle Disk Dash!" Sweepstakes, giving away two brand new iPads, which release on April 3rd. To participate, post a "tweet" on the Twitter® web site with #jungledisk and the text "@jungledisk" and answer the question "What files do you want to access anywhere?" The first iPad drawing will occur Tuesday, April 6th, 2010 and the second drawing on Friday, April 9th, 2010. Immediately available as a free download from the App Store, the Jungle Disk App allows users to browse and view files such as photos, documents and spreadsheets stored with Jungle Disk from a mobile device. Users will have the ability to easily share data by emailing files as an attachment or copying to other apps via the clipboard. The app also allows users to play (or stream) iPhone-supported music and videos.

Photos and videos taken on iPhone can be easily backed up directly to the user's Jungle Disk account, helping to insure that these files are protected in the event of loss, theft or phone upgrades. And with Jungle Disk's limitless storage capacity, users never have to worry about having enough storage space on their iPhone to keep their favorite songs, photos and videos close at hand.
