CleanTechRecruits is the largest career website that is dedicated to helping qualified job seekers around the world find new jobs in the Clean Energy Sector. With thousands of subscribed job seekers and more Renewable Energy jobs being posted daily than any other site, CleanTechRecruits.com is the leader in delivering Clean Energy jobs to motivated job seekers.
Remarkably, more VC money was invested in Clean Energy in 2008 and 2009 than in Silicon Valley’s software. Government money is also pouring in. US President Barack Obama recently unveiled a $2.3 billion tax credit that is projected to create over 17,000 new jobs in the Clean Energy sector. According to a recent study conducted by the International Labor Organization, the U.N. Environment Program and the International Organization of Employers, the global market for environmental products and services is projected to double to more than $2.7 billion per year by 2020. The study also finds that Renewable Energy is already generating more jobs than fossil fuels. In fact, 2.3 million people have found new jobs in the Clean Energy sector in recent years. By 2030, nearly 8.5 million people will be working in Wind and Solar power alone.
In spite of all the job creation that is taking place in the Renewable Energy sector, connecting jobs with qualified job seekers is still a challenge. The problem is twofold, according to Bob Deskin, co-founder of CleanTechRecruits.com. He says the first problem is that most job seekers don’t know how to find the newly created Clean Energy jobs since many of them are with small, unfamiliar companies. The other problem is there are many small CleanTech companies who don’t have the recruiting budget or name recognition to attract qualified candidates. “Our career site is already the world’s largest centralized marketplace for CleanTech job seekers to directly connect with current CleanTech jobs. We deliver jobs to job seekers and we also deliver candidates to employers and recruiters.”
Because of CleanTechRecruits ability to connect qualified job seekers with the most innovative career opportunities available in Clean Energy, the response from their current customers has been tremendous. For example, Valerie Bennett from EnerNOC, a leading energy management technology provider says, “I love your site! It has been extremely successful and the talent is fantastic!”
CleanTechRecruits.com was started last year by two veteran entrepreneurs from the technology industry who recognized the need for a career website that is dedicated to the unique requirements of the Renewable Energy Sector. “Our clients don’t have to sift through pages of unrelated jobs or resumes when they use our site. Everything on our site relates to Clean and Renewable Energy,” says Deskin.
To keep the flow of new jobs coming into the site, registered Clean Technology employers are able to post all of their jobs on CleanTechRecruits.com for free. They can also search the resume database at no charge (there is a nominal charge for recruiters). Passive job seekers can also post their resumes for free by opting for a basic subscription but most of the jobs are going to the more aggressive job seekers. That is why many CleanTech job seekers are electing to invest in a subscription option that allows them to search for job openings and apply directly to them.
In President Obama’s State of the Union address, he committed that the US will not take second place to anyone in the quest to be the leader in the Clean Energy industry, which is destined to be the new industrial revolution. It seems that CleanTechRecruits is committed to the same worthy cause.
