The Residence Inn Moncton Hotel celebrates the International Earth Hour on March 31st. On the last Saturday of the month, the Moncton extended stay hotel will turn off the lights between 8:30 and 9:30 PM local time. Guests are encouraged to make energy wise choices during this time.

Earth Hour is a world-wide effort to raise awareness of environmental friendly measures and energy consumption which takes place annually on the last Saturday of March. Earth Hour started with the World Wildlife Fun in 2007 and quickly spread around the world.
The premier of Moncton extended stay hotels is switching off the lights during Earth Hour 2012. During that time, guests of the Residence Inn Moncton are encouraged to share their energy-saving techniques and strategies with hotel guests and staff.
The Residence Inn Moncton is one of nine green lodging properties in Moncton New Brunswick and received a three Green Eco-Rating by Green Key Eco-Rating Program. The Moncton hotel takes daily actions to reduce the energy consumption including turning off lights, using water saving techniques, shutting computers off when not in use and provides options for greener travel.
