Film, television and voice actor, D.C. Douglas, begins a summer tour of videogame and anime conventions across the U.S. this week, and will also shoot an indie film in Texas.

Douglas gained popularity with videogame fans for his voice portrayal of Albert Wesker in “Resident Evil 5″ (and several other installments) and as the voice of the Geth race, particularly Legion, in both “Mass Effect 2″ and Mass Effect 3.” Younger fans discovered Douglas through his portrayal of Chase, the police car autobot, in The Hub’s “Transformers: Rescue Bots” cartoon.

D.C. Douglas’ Personal Appearances:

Douglas will be a guest at the Florida SuperCon in Miami from June 29 thru July 1 and will be a featured speaker on panels that include Michael Hogan (“Battlestar Galactica”), Gregg Berger (“The Garfield Show”), and Alan Oppenheimer (“The NeverEnding Story”). He’ll also run his own “after hours” panel.

From July 6 through July 8, Douglas will be a guest of the Chiisaicon convention just outside of Louisville, Kentucky. He will have several autograph sessions, a panel, and participate in a VIP dinner with fans.

From July 11 through July 18, Douglas will be on location in Houston, Texas, filming a dark, surreal indie, “Helen Alone,” written and directed by Henrik Bech Poulsen.

From August 3 through August 5, Douglas heads back to Florida for the Anime Festival Orlando, where he will be appearing with Kyle Hebert (“Naruto: Shippûden”), Richard Epcar (“The Legend of Korra”), and Tara Strong (“My Little Pony”).

Douglas wraps up his summer tour with an appearance at Canterlot Gardens September 28 through September 30, a “My Little Pony” convention, and will once again appear alongside the guest of honor, Tara Strong.

Douglas credits his fans for the number of cons he will be attending. “They kept asking me (on Twitter) if I would be coming to their local con,” Douglas explains, “and I would tell them it’s up to them to bug their cons to bring me in! Lo and behold, many of them did just that!” He adds, “But I also have to give credit to one of my personal appearance managers, Jeff Zannini. He’s been amazing at getting me into these places.”

Jeff Zannini is the manager of cult sensation Rock Sugar, a mash-up band that’s been touring the country. He recently expanded into representing celebrity actors and voice talent for personal appearances. In addition to Douglas, his clients includes David Prowse, Jess Harnell, Billy West, Phil Lamarr, Maurice LaMarche, John Dimaggio, Tara Strong, Wendee Lee, Quinton Flynn, Jeff Bennett and E.G. Daily.

This isn’t the first time fans have helped promote Douglas. Last month Twitter fans started a petition to get Douglas an on-camera role on “The Walking Dead.” They gathered over 1500 signatures and submitted them to Glen Mazzara, the show runner. European fans have also started petition to get Douglas as a guest at London’s MCMExpo (https://www.change.org/petitions/d-c-douglas-to-london-mcmexpo-october-2012)

In addition to voice over, Douglas recently guest starred on “2 Broke Girls,” “Hot In Cleveland,” “NCIS: Los Angeles,” “Workaholics,” and “Sullivan & Son” (which airs August 30).

Douglas is represented by AVO Talent in Los Angeles (310 360-7680) for voice over, Daniel Hoff Agency (323 932-2500) for film and television, and Jeff Zannini (978-886-0966 - rocksugarbooking(at)comcast.net) and Tri-Booking for personal appearances.
