We guarantee our customers they will save at least 5% on their present energy supply rate if they switch from their current utility to RP. If we can’t save them at least 5%, we won’t switch them. It’s as easy as that.

WMUR Channel 9 has recently begun airing an intense commercial campaign for Manchester-based Resident Power. The commercials feature local residents and businesses saying they switched from PSNH to Resident Power (RP) for their electricity supply needs. RP is the state’s first electricity aggregator to focus exclusively on residents and small businesses.
“We really see these commercials as a public service,” says Bart Fromuth, RP’s Managing Director, who also appears in ‘Frequently Asked Questions’ video segments on the company’s website. “There’s something about electricity that draws the Mother Tiger out in most everyone. Electricity is at the heart of virtually every activity we do in our homes. And for years, we’ve had no choice. Our electricity was generated and supplied by our local utility. For most people in New Hampshire, that utility has been PSNH.
“To suddenly have RP come on the scene, offering to supply electricity at substantial savings makes some people a little suspicious. It brings on important questions: ‘Do I need to buy new equipment?’ --No. ‘Will my utility still service my account when the lights go out?’ --Yes. ‘How will I be billed?’ --You will still receive a bill from your utility; you’ll just see the “Supply” portion of the bill credited to Resident Power.”
The Resident Power commercials direct viewers to the company’s website (residentpower.com) to get answers to more Frequently Asked Questions, pose questions of their own, and sign up for Resident Power Services.
“Actual Resident Power customers appear in the commercials,” says Fromuth. “We want to reassure people that their neighbors have signed up with RP and appreciate the savings and service they receive.
“We guarantee our customers they will save at least 5% on their present energy supply rate if they switch from their current utility to RP. If we can’t save them at least 5%, we won’t switch them. It’s as easy as that.
“We’re a local company. Our neighbors matter.”
