Rehab Rally Conference & Expo is proud to announce the 2012 continuing education conference taking place August 24-26th 2012 in Chicago, IL will feature a session by Stacey Davis, OTR/L, CKTP, focusing on the use of Resistive Exercise for Stroke Rehab as part of Tract 1: General Therapy.
Resistive Exercise for Stroke Rehab is a hands-on course designed to improve the clinical rehabilitation skills using a scientific and systematic approach. Attendees will be looking at the scientific basis and clinical research of resistance training, dosing of elastic resistance exercise, and exercise applications with patients of all levels, and the integrated uses of elastic resistance.
Stacey Davis, OTR/L, CKTP, Director of Rehabilitation/Therapy Services at Fairview Park Hospital in Dublin, Georgia, has been an occupational therapist for 21 years and a certified instructor through the Theraband Academy. During the session resistive bands will be used and therapists given lab time to practice techniques. The Resistive Exercise for Stroke Rehab session will be held on Friday, August 24th, 1:30pm to 6pm. This session will satisfy continuing education requirements for Athletic Trainers, Physical Therapists, Physical Therapist Assistants, Occupational Therapists, and Occupational Therapist Assistants.
