We hope that professionals will become motivated to incorporate education on embryo donation into patient care and client services, encourage and counsel patients and potential donors to consider embryo donation and raise overall public awareness.

RESOLVE: The National Infertility Association is offering infertility medical professionals a free, online interactive training program entitled Embryo Donation in Action. This three-part series is accredited by the American Society for Reproductive Medicine and provides the tools, resources and operational best practices that can be implemented to maximize the effectiveness of an existing embryo donation program or start a new one.
The course includes three modules focusing on operational best practices from both embryo donors’ and embryo recipients’ perspectives. The modules consist of recorded self-paced Webinars that include case studies and interactive assessments as well as checklists, handouts and operational forms based on identified best practices. The learner will be evaluated by pre- and post-tests.
To develop the curriculum, RESOLVE conducted an assessment of over 400 infertility providers to gauge their awareness, perceptions and understanding of embryo donation and to identify any gaps in their knowledge. Based on these results, RESOLVE’s Embryo Donation Faculty, a group of distinguished infertility medical, legal and mental health subject experts, created the series curriculum, which was then vetted through an additional advisory panel.
“RESOLVE’s goal is to help infertility professionals become well informed and conversant about embryo donation issues,” says Barbara Collura, RESOLVE’s President and CEO. “We hope that professionals will become motivated to incorporate education on embryo donation into patient care and client services, encourage and counsel patients and potential donors to consider embryo donation and raise overall public awareness.”
These courses are made possible by grant number EAAP10091012-02-02 from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). The content is solely the responsibility of RESOLVE and does not necessarily represent the official views of HHS.
