The Resource Planning Summit equips attendees to lead their organizations with new approaches
New York, NY (PRWEB) March 17, 2016
The Resource Planning Summit is a two-day conference for Resource Management, Portfolio Management and Project Management Office professionals. This event provides a forum to learn, share and network with other like-minded managers on topics that are not addressed in traditional events. This year the Summit is scheduled for May 23-May 24, 2016, in New York City on the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum, with special events held throughout New York. Registration for the conference is open until May 20th, 2016.
This year’s Keynote speaker is Anthony “AB” Bourke, Retired US Airforce Major, F-16 fighter pilot and CEO of Mach 2 Consulting, a consulting firm that specializes in helping businesses achieve success through effective resource planning and training. Major Bourke sets the tone for the event with a presentation called “Achieve Resource and Project Portfolio Success with Military Precision and Efficiency”.
“The Summit is a thought leadership event aimed at providing a platform for marquee organizations to announce the sparkling results they have achieved in the now crucial arena of resource planning,” stated Peter Heinrich, Founder & CEO of PDWare. “In 2016, many companies are stretched thin, facing real time-to-market issues now, and are concerned about their ability to forecast resource demand several quarters out with accuracy. This Summit equips attendees to lead those organizations in new approaches,” Heinrich added.
Directors and VPs from organizations such as Caterpillar, Medtronic, USAA Insurance and Upsher-Smith Laboratories are among a lineup of speakers testifying to the benefits that process and tool improvements in resource planning have provided. Speakers such as Michael Parrish DuDell, Laura Stack and Stephen Shapiro will help round out the agenda with related topics on innovation and leadership.
Project Management Professionals (PMPs) can earn PDUs towards their recertification requirements and New Product Development Professionals (NPDPs) can earn a certificate towards their recertification programs. Phil Wolf, a PDWare Executive Vice President, believes that members of PMI and PDMA can use this conference to make a difference in their firms. Wolf says “Managers who participate in learning organizations like PDMA and PMI are the most likely to interpret best practices and deploy them effectively back at their own organizations.” Wolf added, “For these professionals, the Resource Planning Summit is the place to acquire that kind of knowledge”.
