We try and cover popular topics like resume tips and where to look for jobs.
London, United Kingdom (PRWEB) July 26, 2012
Resume Surgeon, the resume and career expert, has launched a new section of their website specifically designed to help those candidates looking for industry specific jobs.
The new section, named Industry Spotlight, provides a variety of exclusive interviews with people working in specific industries. The interviews feature a variety of industries – from Journalism and the media to IT and Teaching. The interviews are with a number of people at different career level and are designed to give visitors to the Resume Surgeon website an insight into working life.
Will Martin, Director, commented: “We work with thousands of candidates every week and there is a growing demand for specific content. Many of our users know exactly the type of career they would like to go into; they just need a bit of advice on how to get there. Our Industry Spotlight section hopefully provides this for them. We try and keep the interviews as in depth as we can and although each one is different, we try and cover popular topics like resume tips and where to look for jobs.”
The Industry Spotlight interviews see one expert a week commenting about their every day working life and offering tips on how to break into their industry. The most recent interview featured a UK Journalist who had relocated to Australia to progress her career. As well as offering advice on finding a job abroad, she offered an insight into the working life of a Journalist and shared some tips on resume templates. Other industry specific interviews include Accountants, Teachers, Plumbers, Event Managers, Charity Workers and Hairdressers.
As well as offering this content on the website, the team at Resume Surgeon ( http://www.resume-surgeon.com/ ) work closely with interviewees to provide video content to their users. As well as being able to read interviews, candidates can visit the Resume Surgeon video channel on You Tube and watch exclusive interviews immediately. Will Martin added: “The video content was designed to speed up the advice process. Many of our users want fast and easy access to advice and our video offering definitely provides this.”
Expansion plans for the future are already in place for the Industry Spotlight section of the website. The Resume Surgeon team plan to expand by including ‘on the job’ advice which will see industry experts commenting on their job and offering resume advice whilst they are at work. It’s hoped this will provide an even better insight into a working day in the featured industry and will support the team’s ongoing efforts to provide resume and career advice to their user base.
