Land That Job! today announced another expansion to the career resource site. Land That Job! has developed widgets that enable career sites to provide local job listings for their visitors.
LandJob was founded in 1998 and until 2007, only provided resumes and cover letters in template and finished sample formats. In 2007, the site expanded to provide broad writing resources and job postings.
LandJob provides local job listings from an aggregated database of postings so now even small sites can leverage a vast content database of jobs. In today's internet, it's extremely difficult for smaller sites to compete with the large career sites. The job search vertical is a very competitive online marketplace with a high traffic volume. Content syndication allows the small sites to compete with larger ones and widgets are the easiest way for sites to post content.
For webmasters that want to take advantage of the widgets, a link has been added to each of the local city pages in the job search directory. Site owners are given a small chunk of code that can be easily cut and pasted into their site pages. Once the code is added to the web page(s), local job listings are drawn from the aggregated database and instantly displayed.
