Photographers have several retouching tools available to them - from in-house staff to pro lab retouching services. RetouchUp.com and Pretouch.com are excellent tools that every photographer should be aware of and know how to use.
Lehi, Utah (PRWEB) August 30, 2009
A new retouching site dedicated to the yearbook photo market, Pretouch.com, launches today. Pretouch.com makes the higher volume, lower intensity yearbook and other bulk image retouching available at a low fixed cost. Studio owners and managers have the ability to support or replace seasonal retouching help through their account at Pretouch.com.
Pretouch.com was created as the yearbook arm for RetouchUp.com. RetouchUp.com focuses on complete photo retouching for all types of photography. A need was seen for a lower intensity, bulk volume retouch -- with a lower cost -- for yearbook images. Pretouch.com was created to be able to handle that type of work specifically.
Yearbook retouches, as opposed to standard portrait retouching, typically involve only simple, yet common problems such as acne that are easily visible on smaller prints. Unlike studio sessions, yearbook batches consist of one image per subject, with large batches of images uploaded at once. Yearbook retouching batches must meet specific volume and other requirements. The yearbook pricing is $1.25 per image.
Pretouch.com allows professional studio and lab clients to upload in one easy upload, and download similarly. The backend account at Pretouch.com is free to create, and allows clients to completely manage their retouching workflow. There are tools and reports for tracking orders and accounting.
Photographers with accounts at RetouchUp.com can immediately access Pretouch.com using their existing logins. Images uploaded to Pretouch.com will receive yearbook treatment and are the only images eligible to receive the special yearbook service and pricing.
New clients are invited to create accounts directly at Pretouch.com. In order to test out the service before spending a dime, new signups on Pretouch.com (and sister site RetouchUp.com) receive their first 20 retouches FREE.
Of the demand for the new service, Hollywood FotoFix President Mark Long shares "Photographers have several retouching tools available to them - from in-house staff to pro lab retouching services. RetouchUp.com and Pretouch.com are excellent tools that every photographer should be aware of and know how to use."
Pretouch.com begins offering low cost bulk yearbook and wedding retouching services on September 1st. Any questions regarding this new service may be directed to Hollywood FotoFix Inc. at (888) 700-3686 extension 120.
