Reverse Mortgage Directory, LLC (RMD), announces the re-launch of ReverseMortgageAdviser.com, an information portal for seniors and their families interested in a reverse mortgage.

RMD acts as a third party resource, providing objective reverse mortgage information for seniors and their families. In early May the website, ReverseMortgageAdviser.com's, new design was launched and has since seen a great deal of growth in traffic from individuals researching these unique loans. The website includes a nationwide lender directory allowing seniors to make contact with lenders in their community.

The site redesign features easier, more intuitive navigation for speedier access to information, as well as an overall cleaner look. The redesign will also increase the site's ability to be found naturally within the search engines, thus making it easier for seniors and their families to access its information. The second phase of the redesign will include a complete overhaul of the lender directory.

The site's goal is to empower and educate seniors by providing a safe place to find accurate and objective information, as well as trusted lenders on both a local and national scale. The site includes a reverse mortgage calculator, informational on-demand videos and printable guide downloads from reputable sources like NRMLA, AARP and Fannie Mae.

RMD holds memberships with both the National Reverse Mortgage Lenders Association (NRMLA) and the National Aging in Place Council (NAIPC). "These affiliations have helped us to stay informed of changes to these programs, as well as the growing concerns of the demographic they serve" says Gretchen Williams, RMD's Director of Sales and Customer Relations. "NRMLA, in particular, has been instrumental in educating lenders and organizations like ours to the sensitive needs of seniors and their families who are many times the target of fraud."

Reverse mortgages have grown in popularity over the recent years. This is in part due to the rising costs of living and healthcare. Not to mention that most seniors are already living on fixed incomes that, in many cases, do not cover their most basic living expenses. Through federally-guaranteed reverse mortgages, seniors have been able to tap into their home's equity to free up cash for daily expenses and, more importantly, remain in their homes.

The proceeds of reverse mortgages are tax-free and can be used for almost any purpose. Whether the money is used to pay for home repairs, a much-needed vacation, or to improve overall quality of life, seniors everywhere are taking advantage of these government-secured reverse mortgage loans. In addition, they do not require monthly payments and do not affect Social Security or Medicare benefits.
