“We are pleased to introduce downloadable AudioPlus books. RFB&D members can now access every title in our collection of more than 51,000 academic texts and literature, anytime, from anywhere,” said Mike Kurdziel, RFB&D Chief Programs & Services Officer.

Having launched AudioAccess SM, a downloadable version of its digital books last summer,
AudioPlus DAISY format audiobooks are now available for Internet download and feature the full navigation, bookmarking and variable speed control that make DAISY the premiere format of accessible audiobooks. Both AudioAccess and AudioPlus are available through RFB&D’s online customer ordering system.

John Kelly, President & CEO said, “An added benefit of this new innovation is the efficiency we can realize. As a nonprofit, we take our role as stewards of the generous contributions we receive to support our members seriously. Downloadable books enable us to serve more students with more books far more effectively.”

Once downloaded, RFB&D’s AudioPlus books can be played with DAISY software on a PC, transferred to the memory of a specialized DAISY player or burned to a CD to be played with a DAISY CD player. For complete technical requirements and specifications, visit: www.rfbd.org/audioplus.

Additionally, all RFB&D members now have direct access to 24/7 member service support online or on the phone. This new 24/7 online service provides the highest possible quality of member support, including full membership and program support, book catalog support, technical support with equipment operation and audiobook download support for all RFB&D products.
