Dr. Babak Azizzadeh, facial plastic surgeon and rhinoplasty expert, featured as a guest speaker at the Second UC Irvine Rhinoplasty Course.

Dr. Babak Azizzadeh was featured as a guest speaker at the Second UC Irvine Rhinoplasty Course on June 24, 2012. The course, which took place June 22 – 24, at the UC Irvine Medical Center in Orange, CA, was hosted by the UC Irvine Department of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery.
The course consisted of two and a half days of lectures on rhinoplasty and related topics, and focused on the fundamental, functional, and aesthetic aspects of rhinoplasty. On June 24th, the theme of the lectures was “Advanced Topics in Rhinoplasty” and Dr. Azizzadeh held a well-received lecture on “Rib Grafts in Rhinoplasty.”

The course featured renowned facial plastic surgeons, otolaryngologists, and other health care professionals with an interest in comprehensive management of the nose and nasal airway. The goal was to increase surgical competence to be able to expand surgical skills by assessing, identifying, and performing the latest techniques in the management of the nasal deformities and disorders of the airway. 

The successful event featured many talented leaders and innovators in rhinoplasty, including Dr. Daniel, the Clinical Professor of Plastic Surgery at UC Irvine, Dr. Wang, the President of the American Academy of Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, and Dr. Davis, the Director of the Facial Plastic Surgery Fellowship. 

Dr. Azizzadeh is a renowned Harvard-trained rhinoplasty expert, recognized as a Top Facial Plastic Surgeon by the US News & World Report. He is one of the leading experts in the fields of primary, revision and ethnic rhinoplasty, and is the author of five bestselling books, including the definitive rhinoplasty textbook entitled “Master Techniques in Rhinoplasty,” Dr. Azizzadeh is double-board certified in both facial plastic surgery and otolaryngology, which gives him a distinctive insight into both the aesthetics and function of the nose.
