Contestants needed for Kitchen Kettle Village's 27th Annual Rhubarb Festival and Save A Farm Baking Contest on May 21st and 22nd, as participants compete to break last year's speed record of 4.2 seconds in the World's Only Rhubarb Race Car erby. The Festival also includes a Whoopie Pie Filling contest, free concerts, entertainment and free samples of Rhubarb inspired food creations. The rhubarb cars are revvin', the pies are whoopin', the celebrity judges are tastin', balloons are twistin', music is jazzin', samples are flowin' and the king and queen are strollin' as Kitchen Kettle Village prepares for their yummiest 27th Annual Rhubarb Festival on May 21st and 22nd. This year's two day Festival will once again feature the World's Only Rhubarb Race Car Derby in which participants will try to beat last year's record of 4.2 seconds on the electronically timed course as well as KKV's Save A Farm Best Rhubarb Dessert Baking Contest (both events will benefit Lancaster Farmland Trust, a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation of local farmland). Other highlights include a Whoopie Pie Filling Contest, the crowning of an official Rhubarb King and Queen, product demonstrations, lots of samples, strolling comedians, Dixieland Bands, as well as other activities for the whole family.

This event will precede many other "Free at KKV" Events and Festivals slated for the year such as the Berry Jam Festival on June 18th and 19th, Yummie's Birthday Bash on August 7th and the Tailgate Festival (Featuring the Seven Sweets and Sours) on September 17th and 18th.
