Whatever we decide to do for Christ better get done now.

Following his 30-year span of service to God, Richard Sugden, Sr.’s new autobiography, “The Life of a Modern Day Missionary” (published by WestBow Press), chronicles his journeys to faraway places, founding churches as the biblical apostle Paul did.

Sugden’s book took shape after he was diagnosed with a debilitating muscle disorder and a colleague challenged him to write about his former life as a traveling minister.

The book tells of Sugden’s church-planting travels, in which he and his fellow ministers sometimes founded up to 12 churches in one month.

While his book depicts the international missions upon which he embarked, Sugden hopes it also poses a challenge to readers: to respond to the urgency of their service to God by founding their own churches around the world.

“Whatever we decide to do for Christ better get done now,” Sugden says.
