At Booth 516, Ristech will demonstrate both the Book2net Spirit, the first entry-level high-resolution scanner designed for fast and simple public use as well as the Book2net Kiosk, which includes a high-resolution, single-shot camera that can scan up to 2,000 pages per hour and is still gentle on books.
“Our Book2net technology is easy for anyone to use, not to mention that it’s clean, green and very energy efficient,” said Robb Richardson, president, book2net, North American Operations. “Our advanced scanners eliminate the need for photocopiers, paper and toner, saving time, money and energy for libraries of all sizes.”
“The reception to acquiring the Book2net Kiosk has been very positive, one of the most positive we have ever received,” said Anne Dondertman, assistant director of the Thomas Fischer Rare Books Library at The University of Toronto.
The ALA Conference, held at New Orleans’ Ernest M. Morial Convention Center, is the world’s largest library conference and exhibit.
