Today, Riverside HVAC company Angiel Air announced their endorsement for Energy Star Systems. Installing a new heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC) system in the home or business can be a major investment. There are many factors to consider, and it’s important to get it right the first time.
With today’s move toward energy efficiency, energy ratings are a major consideration when thinking of a new HVAC system. The law states that the HVAC industry must provide efficiency ratings for every system based on the annual cost of operation. Something customers should consider when looking to save on energy costs and help the environment is investing in Energy Star products. Energy Star is a joint project of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Department of Energy to provide strict guidelines of energy efficiency and low greenhouse gas emissions.
“Upgrading an older system to an Energy Star one or choosing to install Energy Star HVAC in new construction is a wise investment,” says Joshua Angiel, owner of Angiel Air, which is based in Eastvale, California.
For instance, gas furnaces use the Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency or AFUE. The higher the AFUE, the greater the efficiency and the greater your energy savings potential. Prior to the 1992 federal government regulations, most gas furnaces were manufactured with standard efficiencies ranging from 60 percent to 78 percent AFUE. If someone has one of these older units and replace it with a new 90 percent or higher AFUE, you can save as much as 40 percent on your utility bills.
Angiel Air recommends and installs the Tempstar line of products. Tempstar has a full line of ultrahigh efficiency products that exceed the Energy Star Program’s minimum efficiency standards. International Comfort Products, LLC Corporation (USA), the manufacturer of Tempstar products, is a voluntary partner in the Energy Star Program. What’s more, Tempstar products have one of the strongest warranties in the industry and their products are manufactured in the United States.
Angiel has been in business for 15 years, and he’s seen it all. “One thing I’ve seen a lot of is customers investing in big-name, expensive systems because they think that if it costs more, it must be better,” he says. Tempstar is not one of the bigger names in HVAC, but it is an extremely reliable brand. And it’s an affordable one. “They don’t spend a lot of money on marketing,” Angiel says. “So the customer is paying for the equipment, not the marketing.”
