In his provocative work of fiction “Don't Beg For Mercy!” (published by Trafford Publishing), author Robert Ginsberg brings attention to the epidemic of violence against women in three thrilling short stories.

Ginsberg, who has what he calls a “lifelong dislike of most men,” is no stranger to domestic violence toward women, having grown up with an abusive father. He uses his personal experiences as the inspiration for the stories in “Don’t Beg For Mercy!”

Each tale is woven together with themes of revenge and female retaliation. Ginsberg wants female readers to realize that, instead of relying on legal systems to come to their aid, they can take the law into their own hands. “The saying ‘It’s not what you do, but the way that you do it,’ should be born in mind here,” he writes.

An excerpt from “Don’t Beg For Mercy!”:

“While you’re struggling for breath, and hoping that some miracle will happen to save you – which it won’t. Just remember that you’ve brought all of this upon your despicable self. What you have suffered these past few weeks, is nothing more nor less, than the suffering you’ve inflicted on others; including those of your own flesh and blood! No pain, Bragg, can be too severe to pay you back for all you’ve done in your worthless life on this earth!”

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, approximately one in four women will experience domestic violence in her lifetime. Though fictional, the stories in “Don’t Beg For Mercy!” can help victims find healing and hope, and serve as a reminder that no one is alone in their struggle.
