This contest is a good way for us to show who we really are, using photos and art," noted 14-year old Rocket21 member Sydnee Cearlock. "I want to inspire people through music. This contest will help more people understand what I'm all about.
San Francisco, CA and New York City, NY (PRWEB) March 05, 2013
Rocket21, the only social networking platform designed to safely connect kids and teens with communities of professionals and experts representing leading institutions and brands around the world, today announced its first ever Avatar Passion Show; a design competition themed REPRESENT, inviting its youth members to update their avatars with a goal of leveraging colors, patterns, art, graphics and photography to demonstrate their passions and dreams.
Rocket21 PROs from hundreds of fields and industries including music, science, art, design, fashion, photography, marketing, business, politics, education, community service and more will review the designs and connect with youth whose dreams and interests align with each PRO’s professional expertise and experience.
"I love the idea of this contest," offered Rocket21 Member Sydnee Cearlock. "It's a good way for us to show who we really are, using pictures and art. I want to inspire other people to follow their dreams through writing, singing and playing music. This contest will help more people understand what I'm really about."
"Rocket21 has a single-minded mission to provide authentic, creative ways for youth to explore their interests with leading professionals and organizations," noted Jodell Seagrave, Rocket21 President and COO. "This competition - and a play on Passion Show as a unique twist on a digital fashion show - is a fun way to provide incentives for kids to think about their passions, and telegraph them to the large community of active PROs engaged in Rocket21, as well as to their peers in our community."
Youth may design their avatars from a rich palette of colors, borders, images, shapes, and photographs. In addition, Rocket21 members may incorporate their own original photographs, art, graphics, and writing into their designs.
