Rocket21, the only social networking platform designed to safely connect kids and teens with professionals and experts representing industries, professions, passions, and movements that span the globe, today announced a new Dream Big Competition, in collaboration with Nat Geo WILD’s Fish Tank Kings.
Nat Geo WILD’s popular series Fish Tank Kings (Saturdays at 10 PM ET/PT) takes viewers to the center of the action as the Florida-based aquarium specialists at Living Color use their unparalleled skills, creativity and teamwork to pull off the most extreme tanks. Now the gang is sharing their aquatic knowledge and design experience directly with kids through Living Color President Mat Roy, an official PRO on Rocket21.
“Kids on Rocket21 have expressed an intense interest in having access to authentic experts and content in fields related to animals and nature, as well as experts who design and build cool products,” said Mark Grayson, Rocket21 CEO. “We couldn’t be more excited to welcome Mat and the Fish Tank Kings as they join our hundreds of amazing Rocket21 PROs.”
“Fish Tank Kings, like many of our WILD shows, offers something for kids, teens and adults,” noted Janet Han Vissering, Senior Vice-President, Program Development and Production, Nat Geo WILD. “Our alliance with Rocket21 is a natural extension of our family-friendly programming and community engagement.”
To celebrate the Fish Tank Kings’ participation, Rocket21 is inviting its youth members to share their own ideas for extreme aquarium projects. Now through July 21st, Rocket21 members may submit their wildest extreme tank ideas – through text, photo, and video submissions on Rocket21. “We can’t wait to see our Rocket21 members’ wild ideas,” said Jodell Seagrave, Rocket21 President & COO. “We’re expecting a combination of hilarious videos, crazy photographs and drawings, and creatively engineered models.”
Two Grand Prize winners (from age categories of Under 13 and 13-17) will fly to Florida for a private tour of Living Color, hosted by the Fish Tank Kings. Winners will also tour the Florida everglades by airboat, and have lunch at The Rainforest Café, home to a 14,000 gallon Fish Tank Kings installation.
