Rocket21™ (the new social network where kids explore amazing possibilities for their lives and futures) today announced a contest to increase awareness of government and politics among Generation Z youth.

The promotion is a part of Rocket21’s Dream Here Dream Big Series – and one middle school student and one high school teen will win an unforgettable adventure in Washington, D.C., including tickets to the January 21st Inauguration.

“Rocket21 is about supporting all kids’ dreams, every single day. Through our Dream Big Series, we deliver on that concept in grander ways, presenting once-in-a-lifetime opportunities to inspire our members’ imaginations and extend their passions,” said Rocket21 CEO Mark Grayson. “We can’t wait to see the ideas our members contribute to the contest – and hear their stories from being in D.C. to witness such an historic event.”

To enter the role-playing contest, Rocket21 members will respond to a scenario that suggests the President himself has asked youth to represent the hopes and dreams of their generation during his Inaugural address. The contest offers prompts for youth to advise the President, share a wish for his Presidency, or consider their own ideas for America. Taking into consideration the different ways in which kids express themselves, Rocket21 members may choose from a range of options for methods of entry ― including mini-essays, photos, videos, songs, drawings, and posters.

One Rocket21 member will be selected from each of two age groups (under 13 and 13-17), and each winner plus a parent or guardian will receive a FREE trip to Washington, D.C. plus tickets to the Inauguration on January 21st.

Hundreds of experts from hundreds of fields are participating as Rocket21 PROs, offering kids the opportunities to discover new passions and explore their futures. PROs include explorers, artists, ecologists, business executives, entertainers, scientists, engineers, nurses, doctors, educators, and more – people who do some of the amazing things kids dream of doing.
