Nine New Commodity Stocks Added; Two Stocks Deleted from Rogers™-Van Eck Hard Assets Producers Index in Quarterly Rebalancing

The Rogers™-Van Eck Hard Assets Producers Index (TICKER: RVEI) will add nine new components, effective 6:00 PM (EDT) Sunday, March 21, 2010. Two stocks will be deleted from the index, changing the number of index components to 309. The changes result from the quarterly rebalancing of the index.

The Rogers™-Van Eck Hard Assets Producers Index (TICKER: RVEI) will add nine new components, effective 6:00 PM (EDT) Sunday, March 21, 2010. Two stocks will be deleted from the index, changing the number of index components to 309. The changes result from the quarterly rebalancing of the index.

Three stocks will be added to the Rogers™-Van Eck Hard Assets Agricultural Producers Index, while one stock will be deleted from the index, changing the number of index components to 43.

One stock will be added to the Rogers™-Van Eck Hard Assets Metals Producers Index, changing the number of index components to 99.

Three stocks will be added to the Rogers™-Van Eck Hard Assets Energy Producers Index, while one stock will be deleted, changing the number of index components to 128.

No changes will be made to the Rogers™-Van Eck Hard Assets Producers Liquid Index, maintaining the fixed number of 50 index components.

The Rogers™-Van Eck Hard Assets Producers Index is a capitalization-weighted, float-adjusted index of the most prominent commodity stocks in the world. To be included in the RVEI, stocks must pass multiple screens, including for capitalization, float, exchange listing, share price and turnover. The index is divided into six sectors: a) Energy, b) Agriculture, c) Base and Industrial Metals, d) Forest products, e) Precious Metals and f) Alternatives (Renewable Energy and Water)

The Index Committee today announced a change in index methodology relating to “Special Dividends” as follows: Any ‘explicitly labeled’ Special Dividend or any dividend larger than 10% of the equity price is considered a special dividend and requires a price and share adjustment to the company that issued the special dividend. The adjustment will be a market neutral event and will have no effect on the divisor.
