Ronald McCaskill Celebrates 27 Years on St. Lucie Sheriff’s Office Force

New Life Christian Centre founder and senior pastor, Ronald McCaskill, a Fort Pierce resident, recently celebrated 27 years serving as the St. Lucie Sheriff's Office chaplain. Pastor Ronald McCaskill plans to continue volunteering for years to come.

Ronald McCaskill, New Life Christian Centre founder and senior pastor, spends his free time volunteering as a chaplain for the St. Lucie Sheriff’s Office. He recently celebrated 27 years on the force. Ron McCaskill plans to continue volunteering and assisting the officers.

As volunteer chaplain, Ronald McCaskill provides the officers with counseling, he teaches life development courses, conducts funerals, makes death calls, responds alongside the officers to community emergencies, assists the officers with conflict resolution and leads staff leadership meetings, as well as many other tasks.

In addition, Ronald McCaskill fosters relations with the police and faith communities, as well as encourages them to work together on various projects.

“Volunteering as the sheriff’s office chaplain provides me with tremendous satisfaction,” said Ronald McCaskill. “It is a demanding job. I take great pride in providing support and a shoulder the staff can turn to, for whatever reason, from marriage counseling to community support, I am here for whoever needs me.”

Ronald McCaskill started volunteering for the sheriff’s office 27 years ago because he sought for a greater opportunity to contribute to the community.

“As a pastor I always preach patience, tolerance, giving back and compassion, I knew I needed to be the first to set an appropriate example,” said Ronald McCaskill. “Helping the officers who protect our community seemed like a great start.”

Ronald McCaskill, who works as a senior pastor at New Life Christian Centre, founded the church in 1992, since then he has traveled the nation and world, accompanied by his wife Linda preaching and providing motivational lectures, to businesses, churches, community centers, schools and more. The duo is committed to spreading the word of good faith and the possibility to change.

In addition to delivering sermons, Ronald McCaskill and his wife, Linda, travel the nation and beyond delivering motivational speeches to individuals and businesses alike. Ronald McCaskill and Linda will celebrate 40 years of marriage by the end of the year. Together the couple has three children. The couple resides in Fort Pierce, Florida.
