I've had my fair share of housing fiascos. I just wanted to offer users more transparency in their search for housing

Students have found Roomapes.com's quick posting style and its trendy Google Maps approach to finding a roommate effective. "It allowed me to just look at a map and see all the recent housing listings near me", said Larry H., fourth-year microbiology student.
It is an online housing resource which allows users to post and search free roommate listings. The combination of an easy-to-use interface and integration with Google Maps enhances the user experience. Users who know the rough area they want to live in and are uncomfortable living with a complete stranger will find Roomapes.com's personal approach more appealing. A roommate profile is tied to every listing giving the housing seeker some idea of the person behind the post. "I don't like to use some of the other housing websites because it's all just too anonymous. It's nice to get a little more information on somebody before even deciding to contact them about their listing. It just helps streamline the roommate picking process," commented Lola R., Engineering graduate student.
"I've had my fair share of housing fiascos. I just wanted to offer users more transparency in their search for housing," stated co-founder Justin Tsai. While this roommate and housing search website is currently mainly used on college campuses, the resource is open to the general public. Since the launch of the website a little over a year ago, the nationwide community of users has grown to be in the tens of thousands.
