QL2, the leading on-demand data platform provider, announced that Rosie Hausler has joined the company as vice president of marketing. Hausler joins a seasoned executive team that includes former venture capitalist and Chief Executive Officer Russ Aldrich and Vice President of Operations and QL2 General Counsel Scott Milburn.

As vice president of marketing, Hausler will focus on strategic marketing programs that highlight the continued success of the hundreds of QL2 partners and customers. She will direct all product management and marketing, and oversee corporate communications to ensure QL2 continues to deliver high quality services that meet the exact requirements of its customers.

Hausler has served as vice president of marketing at a number of trailblazing software start-ups, including those with SaaS and open source business models. Most recently, she was the vice president of marketing for Likewise Software, an open source identity management company based in Bellevue, Wash. Prior to Likewise Software, Hausler held positions at Tandem Computers (acquired by HP), Cisco Systems, Amazon.com, Junglee (acquired by Amazon.com), Call The Shots (acquired by Akamai), Nsite (acquired by SAP) and ViewCentral (acquired by Rainmaker).

As a key team member at Amazon.com, Hausler helped create the first integrated search function for Amazon.com shoppers and facilitated deployment of user-generated community features such as discussion groups and live chat events. Over the course of her impressive career, Hausler has implemented numerous programs to generate demand, including successful Web-based methods, such as analytics, pay-per-click (PPC), Web seminars, blogs and e-mail campaigns. In 1998, the public relations industry recognized Hausler's work with a Grand Prize Bulldog Award for Best PR Campaign of the Year.

As an industry thought leader, Hausler has chaired dozens of Webinars and has spoken at numerous conferences. Hausler is a past board member of Silicon Valley American Marketing Association (SVAMA) and she holds a B.A. in advertising from Michigan State University.
