RSD has developped the next generation information governance solution to provide customers with a robust engine for centrally defining information governance policies and enforcement capabilities across geographic locations and regulatory jurisdictions.

Information governance solutions must streamline information management costs, improve compliance posture, and encourage desirable end-user behavior in the creation, use, archiving, and deletion of critical business information. Specific challenges in information governance include:
- Integration of local and global regulations as well as corporate information management policies, and
- enforcement of these policies across retention/disposal, data privacy, eDiscovery, storage optimization, and metadata management functions
RSD’s information governance solution called RSD GLASS™, helps organizations manage corporate risk and improve operational efficiency as they work to achieve compliance with regulations and laws governing enterprise information and records management. The solution enables proactive and central information management with a systematic enforcement process across business functions, jurisdictions, and isolated silos of information.
“IBM’s recent acquisition of PSS Systems validates the information governance imperative and the need to have a comprehensive solution for better managing corporate information,” said Tamir Sigal, Director of Marketing at RSD. “Customers who use PSS Atlas will need to make a decision soon on how to proceed with their deployment and determine the impact on their IBM and non-IBM repositories. RSD GLASS solution allows customers to leverage any commercially available repository, IBM or not. RSD GLASS is repository agnostic”.
From now to the end of the 2010, RSD will offer existing PSS Systems Atlas customers a limited license to replace their PSS Systems deployment. As part of this offer, RSD will enable customers to leverage the functionality in RSD GLASS to centralize and validate their information governance policies and properly manage and enforce the lifecycle actions across multiple jurisdictions and repositories. Using RSD GLASS, companies have an elegant solution to better manage their disparate repositories and place information on hold in the event of litigation.
“We have spent the last two years developing the next generation information governance solution to provide customers with a robust engine for centrally defining information governance policies and enforcement capabilities across geographic locations and regulatory jurisdictions,” said Pierre Van Beneden, RSD CEO. “Using RSD GLASS, companies mitigate risk in a number of areas related to litigation, audit, and data protection by providing proactive and consistent policy enforcement.”
