Back by popular demand, Avalon Hearing Aid Center in Sacramento has added four new hearing loss seminar dates to the summer schedule. The popular Living with Hearing Loss Seminars will take place June 14 and 26th, and July 12 and 24th in the Community Room at 1260 Fulton Ave, Suite B, Sacramento, CA 95825. All seminars run from 10 am to 11:30 am.

Living with Hearing Loss Seminar attendees will learn how to choose the best hearing aid technology to fit their budget, lifestyle and particular form of hearing loss. Speakers will demonstrate different hearing aid models and explain common hearing aid terminology such as BTE (behind-the-ear), ITE (in-the-ear) or CIC (completely-in-canal). A portion of the seminar will cover hearing aid prices and explain what makes a hearing aid costing a few hundred dollars different from one costing a few thousand dollars.

Avalon Hearing Centers encourages family members and spouses to participate in the Living with Hearing Loss Seminar together. Part of the discussion will be about improving communication when a loved one has hearing loss. Avalon notes that many long-time Sacramento hearing aids patients and their loved ones still attend classes regularly to enhance their listening and communication skills.

Seating is limited and reservations are strongly suggested. Reserve a seat at any of the upcoming seminars by calling the Fulton Ave, Sacramento clinic at (916) 930-6347.
