ESOPT Version 6.2 enhances current features and adds innovative new integrated business planning capabilities.

Version 6.2 of the Enterprise Sales & Operations Planning Tool offers users new 5-year and 30-year planning horizons.

ESOPT Version 6.2 enhances the tool's ability to present the business status, primarily in the financial area, to senior executives.

Oliver Wight Americas, Inc., the creator and innovator of the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, also known as Integrated Business Planning, announces the availability of Version 6.2 of its Enterprise Sales & Operations Planning Tool (ESOPT). Of special importance are the new five and the 30-year planning horizon options.

Enhancements to current features include, in the 5-year option, the ability to select between monthly and quarterly charts, and in the 30-year option, the ability to select between monthly, quarterly, and annual charts. Other enhancements were made in the supply review and dependent demand calculation as well as in the demand and supply summary charts, where an additional aggregation level has been included.

New data features in this latest version of Oliver Wight's S&OP software include the ability to capture and view demand probability as well as the ability to further define demand units and costs at the subfamily level. Inventory stocking type can be captured by subfamily, aggregated, and displayed on summary charts. Loads on critical resources can be segmented by demand probability and inventory types. Other new features have been added making this a much more versatile tool than any of the previous releases.

Oliver Wight's proprietary Sales & Operations Planning tool provides the critical link between operational systems (ERP, master scheduling, inventory management) and top-level integrated business planning. "ESOPT Version 6.2 enhances the tool's ability to present the business status, primarily in the financial area, to senior executives," says J. Robert Tearnan, Oliver Wight principal. "This latest version also makes available the option of extending the planning horizon from five years to thirty."

The Enterprise Sales & Operations Planning Tool was designed and built by Oliver Wight's manufacturing process experts as an integral presentation planning tool and continues to be refined and updated based on its use in more than 300 customer deployments since it was first developed and up to 600 users at a single customer..
