Attorney Gilleon appeared to explain the position of his client, Marjan Montazemi, who was arrested for DUI by Officer Arevalos.

Attorney Dan Gilleon, a San Diego trial lawyer who is a partner in the law firm of Mitchell | Gilleon, which is a firm comprised of San Diego personal injury lawyers, San Diego civil rights lawyers and San Diego litigation lawyers recently appeared on San Diego Channel 10 News to discuss a case involving his client who was serving as a witness in the prosecution of former San Diego Police Officer Anthony Arevalos, who was on trial for sexual assault.
Attorney Gilleon appeared to explain the position of his client, Marjan Montazemi, who was arrested for DUI by Officer Arevalos. Ms. Montazemi is one of several women who have alleged that former Officer Arevalos sexually assaulted her. According to the statements offered by Ms. Montazemi, Officer Arevalos allegedly sexually assaulted her and then arrested her on suspicion of California DUI.
Ms. Montazemi had originally agreed to testify on behalf of the prosecution, but in return she and Attorney Gilleon requested that the pending DUI charge against her be dropped. Attorney Gilleon appeared on Channel 10 San Diego’s newscast on October 27 to explain his position regarding the dropping of these charges, which at that point had not been dismissed.
As the report that included statements by Attorney Gilleon aired, the news station apparently got word from the San Diego City Attorney’s office that the DUI case against Ms. Montazemi was closed, thereby freeing her to testify in the prosecution of former Officer Anthony Arevalos along with other witnesses.
