San Francisco Mother’s Day Celebration “The Secret Garden, Discover The Magic” at the Filoli Flower Show will Feature Blooming Floral Design

Filoli Estate in Woodside, California, is hosting it annual Mother’s Day weekend flower show with spectacular floral exhibits and garden vignettes from top Bay Area florists, including San Francisco Japanese Ikebana florist Kaori Imaizumi of Blooming Floral Design.

Award-winning San Francisco florist Kaori Imaizumi of Blooming Floral Design is all set to craft fantastic floral arrangements for the Filoli Estate floral art show, “The Secret Garden, Discover The Magic,” on display from Thursday, May 10 through Mother’s Day, May 13, 2012.

“It is wonderful to participate in this very special Mother’s Day event,” says Imaizumi. “I hope that guests will enjoy my flowers as they explore the stately mansion and stroll through the beautiful gardens that are Filoli Estate.”

Imaizumi’s floral designs will be displayed in the manor’s men’s cloak room of the Filoli Estate throughout the entire four-day celebration. The Mother’s Day exhibit begins at 5:30 pm on Thursday, May 10 with the opening night reception, which goes until 8 pm.

Other events being held during the floral exhibit include special tea service on Friday, May 11 and Saturday, May 10 from 11 am until 1:30 pm and Mother’s Day Champagne Brunch on Sunday, May 13 with seatings at 10:30 am, 12 pm and 1:30 pm.

General admission for the flower show is $20 for Filolio Estate members and $25 for non-members. Kids age 5-17 are $10. Tickets are available for purchase at filoli.org or by phone at (650) 364-8300, extension 508. The last day to purchase general admission tickets online is Thursday, May 10 at 12 pm.

Blooming Floral Design is located at 2120 Sutter Street in the Lower Pacific Heights neighborhood of San Francisco. Imaizumi has designed arrangements for the Bouquets to Art exhibits at the de Young museum for the past six years and won the Bay Area Alist Award for Best Florist of 2011 and 2012 for her work designing custom arrangements, bridal bouquets, and floral arrangements for weddings and special events.

The San Francisco flower shop has an array of beautiful fresh flowers available to purchase by the stem and Imaizumi can create custom arrangements for walk-in customers.
