The Orchard Garden Hotel’s Daffodil Restaurant in Union Square has created the Daffodil Days Menu to raise awareness and funds to help fight cancer. From March 23rd through March 31st, the Daffodil Restaurant will donate 10% of every bill from the Daffodil Days Menu to the American Cancer Society.
For starters, the Daffodil Days Menu includes a choice between:
-Baby Spinach salad with shaved fennel, d’Anjou pears and candied hazelnuts in champagne vinaigrette, and
-Farmer’s Market Soup, which features the Chef’s seasonal selection of fresh, local ingredients.
Entrée options include:
-The fresh catch of the day, served with Half Moon Bay butter beans, Mexican chorizo, garlic zucchini, and butternut purée,
-Red wine braised beef short ribs, served with buttermilk mashed potatoes and brandy-glazed carrots in a Bordeaux reduction, and
-Carnaroli Rosotto with Portobello mushrooms, leeks, English snap peas, and white truffle oil dusted in Parmigiano Reggiano.
The evening concludes with the Pastry Chef’s seasonal dessert selection.
The Daffodil Days Menu is $40 a person, and diners that take advantage of this special opportunity receive a complimentary bouquet of fresh daffodils.
