San Francisco Architecture Firm MBH Architects Adds Three New Hires

San Francisco Bay Area architecture firm MBH Architects is expanding. They have recently hired three new employees, two project architects and a job captain.

With 40% of American architects unemployed or without projects in 2009, it is truly a sign of fortitude and innovation when an architectural company expands. San Francisco Bay Area architecture firm MBH Architects has announced the hiring of three new employees. These new hires have expert backgrounds and will add to MBH Architects’ already extensive and diverse skill set.

“MBH is excited by the open positions created by this time of growth,” said Founding Principal John McNulty. “The success of our firm is a direct result of the skills and the efforts of our exceptional staff. We believe that these new members of our firm will rise to the high standards that have been set by MBH and our clients.”

Phil Singh was hired as a Job Captain for the Target Account. Singh is a LEED accredited professional with more that 15 years of experience in managing large format retail remodels, new large format retail buildings and commercial architecture. Prior to joining MBH, Singh had an accumulative eleven years at MG2. As Job Captain on the Target Team at MBH, Singh will oversee projects from inception to completion.

George Ramstad has been hired as a Project Architect and will also work on the Target Account. Ramstad is a licensed architect with 29 years of experience in retail design and architecture and store planning. Prior to joining MBH, Ramstad was an Architectural Design Manager for Long’s Drug Stores for 12 years. He has experience in due diligence, construction document preparation and construction administration. As Project Architect on the Target team at MBH, Ramstad will work as a client liaison, making sure the client’s goals and objectives on the project are met.

Mark A. Koch has been hired as a Project Architect and will work on Specialty Retail Accounts. Koch is a licensed architect with over 33 years of architectural experience in a wide range of building types, including housing, medical, commercial and retail. His experience includes ten years with the Gap Inc. Architecture & Construction Dept., where he held various positions from Project Manager to Sr. Director, overseeing large store development programs. As Project Architect on the Specialty Retail team at MBH, Mark will work as a client liaison, making sure the client’s goals and objectives on the project are met.
