From its roots in Cincinnati to its present home in San Francisco, PurposeWorks LLC has continued to grow and evolve, connecting with individuals and businesses along the way to help them overcome obstacles and truly flourish.

Kathy Scheiern, Owner and President of PurposeWorks, celebrates six years in business this month.

Every day that you wake up is good day and every day that you do even one thing out of kindness or love is a meaningful day.

PurposeWorks LLC, a breakthrough coaching and consulting company, is celebrating six years of dedication to working with individuals and small business owners who have run into brick walls on the road to accomplishing their goals. Using customized solutions for the specific challenges faced by its clients, the San Francisco consulting firm helps people blast through the brick walls that hold them back.

“By balancing the importance of what is rational and readily measured with what is grounded in purpose and meaning, in integrity and trust, and in people and relationships, our clients quickly find their way forward, and get back on track to achieving their hopes and dreams,” explains Owner and President Kathy Scheiern.

Founded in December 2005 in Cincinnati, Ohio, the company struggled to find its market in the more conservative environment of the Midwest before electing to relocate to the Bay Area in 2009 and establish itself as a California business in early 2010.

“Relocating to San Francisco was one of the best decisions I’ve made for my business,” reports Scheiern. “Bay Area residents are forward thinkers who are willing to take risks in order to leapfrog their businesses and their lives into new levels of success and achievement.”

By risks, Kathy means that her approach to helping her clients combines both traditional coaching and consulting practices with more non-traditional approaches she learned from working with shamans, transformational ritualists, and other deeply intuitive service-oriented practitioners.

In the words of one of her recent clients, Hallie Warshaw, Publisher and Creative Director of Zest Books, “I called Kathy Scheiern when I was having a problem with an employee that was basically taking down my business. Kathy was able to very quickly assess what was going on, help me define my goals for solving the problem and imagine what I wanted the outcome to be, and implement a strategy for getting there that was clear, quick, and well thought out. I was extremely impressed by Kathy's vast experience dealing with many different types of people, and really knowing how to handle each type of person and situation, and her ‘let's get down to business and get your business functioning better’ attitude.

“The outcome couldn't have been better, and the changes Kathy helped me implement have propelled my business to the next level. Additionally, the advice Kathy gave me for this specific situation has proved effective in many other situations.

“If you have anything that you want to change in your business, or take your business to the next level, Kathy is one of the best people I have worked with to do just that. She is smart, experienced in a wide variety of issues, and really has a knack for getting to the heart of the matter and providing a solution with grace and excellence. I highly recommend working with Kathy.”

According to Kathy, she wasn’t sure at times that the company would make it. But six years later, it continues to grow and evolve, building business in the Bay Area and beyond. “It just goes to show that people really are hungry for positive change in their lives—change that happens quickly and effectively—and that helps them get back on track with achieving their hopes and dreams.”

As 2011 comes to a close and concerns about 2012 and what the New Year will bring are being talked about everywhere, Kathy hopes everyone will remember, “Every day that you wake up is good day and every day that you do even one thing out of kindness or love is a meaningful day. So for 2012, take things one day at a time and remember to be grateful for life and love. Happy holidays!”
