Roots Restaurant Announces New Friday $10 Express San Francisco Lunch

Roots Restaurant in the Orchard Garden Hotel, located at 466 Bush Street at Grant Avenue, is now serving special Express Lunches on Fridays that fill the stomach, but don't emptying the wallet.

Roots Restaurant near Union Square offers $10 Express Lunch every Friday.

For diners who want an organic, gourmet meal in San Francisco at an affordable price, Roots is the place to go. Dine-in or take out, Express Lunches include a hearty meal and a beverage and range from $10 - $14 per person. They are available 11:30am to 2pm on Fridays only.

The menu changes weekly. The menu for Friday, October 29, 2010 features three selections. The first is saffron and wild mushroom risotto, which includes carnaroli rice, Parmesan cheese, sautéed wild mushrooms served with micro greens for $14. The second is a grilled chicken sandwich made with organic chicken breast, hHouse made bun, honey Dijon mustard, vine ripe tomatoes served with house-made Potato Chips for $12. The third is called Farmers Market Soup & Salad, which is black bean and cheddar chili and a crisp mixed green salad served with seasonal accompaniments for $10.

All lunches include iced tea, lemonade or choice of juice or patrons can add a glass of house wine for $5.
