By Land, By Sea - Experience the San Francisco Bay
San Francisco, CA (Vocus) March 12, 2009
Joie de Vivre, California's largest boutique hotel collection, is offering a "By Land, By Sea - Experience the San Francisco Bay" package that allows travelers to explore the bay by ferry and stay at a combination of two of its three waterfront hotels in San Francisco, Tiburon and Jack London Square, Oakland.
Joie de Vivre is the only boutique hotel company to offer a customized way to experience both sides of the San Francisco Bay. When booking the package, travelers select to stay a minimum of one night or more at two of the participating hotels: Hotel Vitale in San Francisco, Waterfront Hotel in Jack London Square, Oakland, and Waters Edge Hotel in Tiburon. The package includes additional amenities and services at each hotel.
"The Bay Area is spectacularly beautiful, and this getaway allows guests to experience it from the best vantage points and to do so without a car. Guests can take BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) to Hotel Vitale from the airport and ferries from there to the Waterfront Hotel and Waters Edge Hotel," said Chip Conley, CEO and founder of Joie de Vivre.
Hotel Vitale, surrounded by light and water in the midst of San Francisco's bayside Embarcadero renaissance, overlooks the waterfront and historic Ferry Building Marketplace. "By Land, By Sea" stays at Hotel Vitale include one Bathing Ritual treatment at Spa Vitale or breakfast for two at Americano.
The Waters Edge Hotel features 23 rooms that float dramatically over the bay and affords the best view of San Francisco. Included in the package is room service breakfast for two, two ferry tickets to Angel Island, and two glasses of champagne
Newly renovated, the Waterfront Hotel offers 143 nautical style rooms, many overlooking the Oakland Harbor, from its vantage point in vibrant Jack London Square. From the ferry terminal steps away, it's a 20-minute ferry ride to San Francisco. The Waterfront is offering breakfast or brunch for two at Miss Pearl's Jam house as part of the experience.
Guests who book the package can purchase ferry tickets for transportation between the hotels* (schedule permitting); additional treatments at Spa Vitale; or kayaking excursions on the estuary at the Waterfront Hotel or around Angel Island from Water's Edge Hotel.
Starting prices for the two-night "By Land, By Sea" package range from $299 to $379, double occupancy, depending on the combination of hotels selected. The package may only be booked through Hotel Vitale's reservations by calling 888.890.8688 and is based on availability. There are no limitations on length of stay or on the order in which a guest chooses to stay at the two properties. For more information on the hotels, visit http://www.jdvhotels.com.
*There is no direct ferry service between Jack London Square and Tiburon.
