Kurt Sanborn has joined Geocomp Corporation as Business Development Manager for Professional Services.
Boxborough, MA (PRWEB) November 19, 2008 -- Geocomp Corporation announced today that Kurt Sanborn has joined the firm as Business Development Manager for Professional Services. Mr. Sanborn will focus on winning opportunities to help clients manage risks associated with underground construction.
Kurt Sanborn has been a business development/marketing consultant over the past decade in the areas of energy/power, hospitality, engineering (infrastructure/vertical construction), private development and public economic initiatives. Prior to beginning his own practice, he worked in the Boston office of McDermott/O'Neill, an internationally recognized PR/government affairs firm.
As a consultant, Mr. Sanborn worked to create projects utilizing a teaming philosophy, allowing for multi-disciplined groups to successfully win projects. His firm led the education process for many DOT's to understand the benefits of Design-Build-Finance (DBF), as it pertains to major heavy and highway projects.
The effort to understand private financing of public projects by public decision makers has involved Mr. Sanborn in a variety of challenging opportunities, including the expansion of Route 3 in Massachusetts. He has guest-lectured at numerous institutions and industry conferences on DBF and economic development.
Mr. Sanborn attended the University of Lowell and resides in Dracut, Massachusetts. He stays active as an NCAA official.
