We are very pleased to present the talents of Vince Gill and Mary Chapin Carpenter in one amazing outdoor concert
Walton County, FL (Vocus) September 2, 2010
Popular country music singer Vince Gill will be joined by fellow GRAMMY-winner Mary Chapin Carpenter during a free outdoor “Back to the Beach” concert Saturday, Sept. 25.
The concert will be held at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort in the beautiful Beaches of South Walton along Florida’s Northwest Gulf Coast. Fans can obtain tickets with the Sandestin Style Concert Package, which includes great rates on lodging, complimentary amenities and even a special golf offer the weekend of the concert. For information, people can visit http://www.sandestin.com/vince.
“We are very pleased to present the talents of Vince Gill and Mary Chapin Carpenter in one amazing outdoor concert,” said Dawn Moliterno, executive director of the Beaches of South Walton Tourist Development Council. “We hope the opportunity to see these artists perform in a beautiful and relaxing outdoor setting will encourage travelers to come to Beaches of South Walton and see for themselves that these beaches are still as beautiful as ever.”
Musician Mary Chapin Carpenter will open the outdoor concert. Her recently released album, The Age of Miracles, is the twelfth studio album from five-time Grammy award-winning Carpenter, including one Grammy-winning and two Grammy-nominated albums. By combining folk, country, acoustic, rock and blues, Carpenter has proven herself to be an artist for whom the conventional boundaries of the music business disappear. She was recently honored with The Americana Association’s esteemed “Spirit of Americana Free Speech in Music Award” recognizing her as an artist who uses their work to raise awareness and free speech.
Headliner Vince Gill is a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame, and also a fan of the area’s beautiful beaches and charming beach communities. One of the most popular and most recorded country singers of the past quarter-century, Gill is expected to play a 90-minute show. He has sold more than 26 million albums and has received 20 GRAMMY awards throughout his career.
Back to the Beach Concert
Fans are invited to bring their beach blankets to enjoy the free concert, set to the backdrop of the Choctawhatchee Bay at the award-winning The Links Golf Course driving range at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort. Gates will open at 4 p.m. and the concert will begin at 6 p.m. with Mary Chapin Carpenter. The show is produced by Shiland Creative Group, a local production company based in Miramar Beach.
Be Rewarded Program
In addition to free outdoor concert, concert goers who book a three night or more stay through an official Beaches of South Walton lodging partner listed under the accommodations section of the destination’s website are eligible a $250 gift card for shopping at Silver Sands Factory Stores, the nation’s largest designer outlet center, or for future travel on Southwest Airlines.
The rewards program is good only for those who book and stay a minimum of three-nights now through Sept. 30. Gift cards will be distributed at the Beaches of South Walton Visitor Information Center to guests with a printed and dated deposit receipt, the paid receipt from their three-night stay, which includes promotional code (BSW250) and valid driver’s license.
These incentive programs are on a first-come, first-serve basis, while supplies last. Funding for the concert and rewards program was made possible through a grant from BP.
