Kogent Corporation Kogent.com, a leading provider of Business Intelligence (BI), Data Management (DM) and Performance Management solutions, today announced it has been named the 2010 “SAP® SME Partner Rookie of the Year, North America.” Awards were presented by SAP Americas (NYSE: SAP) during SAP Channel Partner Summit Americas 2011, held Feb. 27 to March 1 in Savannah, Ga., to the top-performing SAP channel partners and SAP BusinessObjects™ partners in North America for outstanding contributions in revenue growth, marketing and customer service.

“Despite being a new company founded in 2009, Kogent has a wealth of experience established via several key acquisitions of long-established SAP channel partners,” said Sudhir Saxena, Kogent CEO. “The acquisitions of BITadvisors and BI Builders added significant experience and depth in the BI and DM arenas, while the Enterprise Performance Management, or EPM, expertise gained through our most recent acquisition of Driver6 allows Kogent to offer outstanding support for the business user.”

As the recipient of the 2010 SAP SME Partner Rookie of the Year, North America award, Kogent has been honored for its exemplary acquisitions of new customers while maintaining an extraordinarily high level of customer satisfaction.

Kogent received the award during SAP Channel Partner Summit Americas 2011, an annual gathering of SAP sales executives and partners to learn about SAP’s sales methodology, best practices, business growth opportunities and product innovations. The theme of this year’s summit – “Run Better Together” – prominently featured the importance of SAP’s partner ecosystem. The focus of the event was on helping SAP channel partners succeed in 2011 by providing visibility into SAP’s company direction, education on products, networking opportunities, and exposure to SAP leaders – all aimed at helping partners and ultimately customers run better with SAP solutions. This year’s Partner Summit hosted more than 680 attendees from the U.S. and Canada.

“Through hard work, dedication and consistent collaboration with SAP, Kogent has delivered outstanding performance and revenue growth in 2010, and has helped our joint customers run better with SAP applications,” said Kevin Gilroy, senior vice president, SME North America, SAP America, Inc. “SAP congratulates Kogent on receipt of the SAP SME Partner Rookie of the Year, North America award, demonstrating a strong commitment to the SAP partnership and to delivering value and satisfaction to our mutual customers.”

Kogent’s acquisition strategy has allowed the company to quickly gain a unique position as one of the only North American providers of an integrated BI, DM and EPM offering. “There is great synergy between the product areas and growing customer demand for a one-stop solution, which Kogent, through its use of SAP solutions, is currently offering to an ever-growing customer base,” Saxena added. “We look forward to continuing to partner with SAP to bring the best solutions to companies that want to differentiate and improve performance relative to competitors. They need a dynamic business model that adjusts to external factors, alerts decision makers, and defines actions and follow-up as results change, and, with SAP, we are supporting that business vision.”
