Toshiba Re-Launches Satellite Pro Notebook Series for Mobile Business Users

Toshiba's Digital Products Division, a division of Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc., today announced the Satellite Pro(R) A200 and Satellite Pro A210 notebook series -- a new line of affordable business-essential notebooks for mobile professionals.

The new Satellite Pro A200 and Satellite Pro A210 series provide business users with a mobile solution delivering all the essential features they need, including fundamental performance and connectivity, at an economical price point. The Satellite Pro series is also Toshiba's first line of business notebooks to feature configurations with AMD dual core processors(2).

In creating the Satellite Pro A200 and Satellite Pro A210 series, Toshiba listened to customer requests and created a notebook to deliver all of today's essentials for the mobile professional, including easy-to-use features, a streamlined design and broad mobility. Starting at $699(1), the Satellite Pro series offer economically priced configurations that provide users with the power and performance necessary for today's popular business applications, enabling the professional user to be mobile and productive.

Intel(R) Centrino(R) Duo processor technology is featured on the Satellite Pro A200-EZ2204X notebook and provides users with the performance, improved battery life and enhanced wireless connectivity they need. This mobile microarchitecture includes Intel(R) Core(TM) 2 Duo Processors(3), Mobile Intel(R) GM965 Express chipset and Intel(R) PRO/Wireless(4) 3945ABG.

The Satellite Pro A210 series features AMD's Better by Design initiative that provides powerful notebook computing solutions and brings together superior components and technologies at an affordable price. The Satellite Pro A210 series features AMD Turion(TM) 64 X2 or AMD Athlon dual core processors, both of which include the AMD M690V chipset and Atheros 802.11b/g wireless(4) capabilities.

All Satellite Pro A200 and Satellite Pro A210 configurations include ConfigFree(R) technology to help users connect to the most popular types of wired and wireless networks. This utility can be configured to automate the process of switching the notebook to the best network connection available, helping users connect in the office, at home or while traveling.

The Satellite Pro A200 and Satellite Pro A210 series feature a 15.4-inch diagonal widescreen display with TruBrite(R) Technology. This display technology accentuates the notebook's sharp and vivid graphics for an excellent visual experience. The widescreen display provides exceptional side by side viewing of multi-page documents, multimedia files and spreadsheets providing users a larger workspace.

Customers can also choose to upgrade the notebook's service plans, including up to four years of extended warranty coverage
