Celebrity Blogger, Tia Walker of The Quest for "it”, now a 2 year cancer survivor, joins the Lance Armstrong Foundation’s (LAF) fight against cancer by raising funds through Save the Eggs Benefit Cocktails 2010 this coming May 17th. Save the Eggs Benefit Cocktails 2010 allows individuals in the New York City area to do something bold in the face of cancer by supporting the mission of the LAF to inspire and empower people affected by cancer.

Celebrity Blogger, Tia Walker of The Quest for "it" (http://www.thequestforit.com ), now a 2 year cancer survivor, joins the Lance Armstrong Foundation’s (LAF) fight against cancer by raising funds through Save the Eggs Benefit Cocktails 2010 this coming May 17th. Save the Eggs Benefit Cocktails 2010 allows individuals in the New York City area to do something bold in the face of cancer by supporting the mission of the LAF to inspire and empower people affected by cancer.

Tia Walker has pledged to raise 10,000 for the LAF via Save the Eggs Benefit Cocktails 2010. The Save the Eggs annual, traditionally a breast cancer and fertility related event, will no longer raise funds for national non-profit Fertile Hope as a result of its fundraisers. Lance Armstrong Foundation acquired Fertile Hope, one of its partners, in the late spring of 2009. “As a breast cancer awareness advocate who is particularly sensitive to fertility issues as a result of chemo therapy, this year is very special. The LAF is true inspiration to me,” said Ms. Walker.

This years co-chairs include Peggie Walker, Executive Editor of The Quest for “it”, BoConcept owner ShaoKao Cheng, and PR darling cumme New York Socialite Emma Snowdon-Jones (who has served as co-chair since the organization’s inception). Corporate sponsor BoConcept, will host the fine affair at its Chelsea location on West 18th street from 6:30 pm- 8:30 pm. Attendees will include New York Socialites, and TV personalities as well as Recording Artist Estelle and Actress Brittany Allen among others. This year’s elite sponsors will include: Aveeno, House Jam Wines, Self Magazine, Votre Vu Snap Dragon Beauty Beverage, Pop Chips, Talika, Diamond Club Jewelry, Q Events LLC, and Tawny Ong Desserts.

“I am proud to join thousands of other LAF supporters around the world in raising much needed funds,” Ms. Walker said. “Together, we are helping people with cancer live life on their own terms.” Funds raised through the Save the Eggs Benefit Cocktails 2010 will enable the LAF to continue helping people across the nation with the physical, emotional and practical challenges of cancer. Since its inception in 1997, the LAF has awarded more than $29 million to cancer survivorship programs and research.            

About Save The Eggs
The Save the Eggs Benefit Cocktails originally began as a fundraising effort to increase awareness of egg harvesting. The mission is to secure funds for women unable to cover the expense of saving their eggs when faced with the possibility of infertility due to chemotherapy--specifically in the treatment of Breast Cancer remains a primary goal. Save the Eggs collects funds through Tia Walker under her own Breast Cancer Initiative via Sfumato Artist Management LLC directly benefiting cancer and/or fertility related organizations.
