Scartelli, Distasio & Kowalski, P.C. has changed its name to Scartelli Olszewski, P.C. In 2010, the firm added Peter Paul Olszewski, Jr. as its managing partner and has now changed its name to reflect Olszewski’s role. To complement the name change, the firm has been rebranded and its website, http://www.scartelli.com, has been expanded. The revised website includes additional tools for visitors such as a video section which offers users information and explanations about complex legal matters.
With firm shareholder, managing partner and former Luzerne County District Attorney Peter Paul Olszewski, Jr. and firm founder and president Melissa A. Scartelli at the helm, the lawyers continue to tackle difficult cases that require exceptional effort and creative lawyering. Kristin A. Mazzarella, a 10-year firm veteran and personal injury associate, will support the Scranton and Wilkes-Barre, Pa. regional personal injury and criminal defense law firm in offering a variety of legal services. The plaintiff’s lawyers represent clients in medical malpractice, automobile accidents, product liability and premises liability matters while the criminal defense attorneys represent clients who have been charged with anything from DUI and drug offenses to homicide and white-collar crimes.
“At Scartelli Olszewski, we firmly believe that products and health care are made safer in the United States through legitimate lawsuits that reveal and curtail unsafe products and practices,” said Scartelli. “The legal matters that we deal with are often very complex. We feel that it is our job to first educate and arm the public with helpful information about what they need to know in case they are faced with these matters. When an injury arises, it is then our job to make sure our clients are represented fairly and compensated fully.”
