An opportunity for trial lawyers to learn the latest winning strategies from top attorneys, consultants and experts at the Belli Seminar on October 5th in San Jose, California.

Longtime legal legends James Brosnahan and John Burris will share with the group their trial skills. Mr. Brosnahan will conduct a voir dire demonstration.

The Santa Clara County Trial Lawyers Association (SCCTLA) is hosting the Belli Seminar on Friday, October 5th in San Jose, California. The seminar is a plaintiff-oriented program moderated by Melvin Caesar Belli, son of the late "King of Torts". In the tradition of the late Melvin Belli, the seminar is a venue for top trial lawyers, consultants and experts to share cutting-edge trial strategies and tactics with plaintiff attorneys.

Longtime legal legends James Brosnahan and John Burris will share with the group their trial skills. Mr. Brosnahan will conduct a voir dire demonstration.

Among those presenting will be attorneys that have secured the largest jury verdicts in California this year. Lawrance Bohm has the largest verdict so far this year at $167 million. It is the largest employment verdict for a single employee in US history. Nicholas Rowley has two of the five largest verdicts including a near $75 million verdict in a medical malpractice case. Rowley will also conduct a voir dire demonstration. Attorney Rick Simons will discuss his top ten case, a $26 million verdict against the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society of New York, the largest jury verdict for a single victim in a religious child abuse case in the country.

Attorney presenters include Pat Harris, the attorney who secured the acquittal of a molestation victim charged with assaulting his alleged abuser, a Jesuit priest; Niall McCarthy, repeatedly selected as one of the top plaintiff attorneys in California and United States by multiple publications; Donna Bader, Certified Specialist in Appellate Law and the author of over 350 appellate briefs and writ petitions; Alejandro Blanco, showing how to Discover the Story and apply it to telling a great story; Don Keenan, known for The Reptile and a pioneer in the evolution of focus groups appearing via live video.

The lineup of speakers also includes Paulette Taylor, an expert in focus groups and mock jury facilitation. Well known cases include the prosecutions of Timothy McVeigh, Frank Quattronne and Martha Stewart; Eric Goldman, Professor of Law and Director of the High Tech Law Institute at Santa Clara University, named an IP Thought Leader by Managing IP magazine.

SCCTLA reports that more attorney presenters will be added in the upcoming weeks.
