Scientology Volunteer Ministers Bring Solutions to Malmö, Sweden

Scientology Volunteer Ministers are bringing positive solutions to the people of Malmö, Sweden.

Los Angeles, California (PRWEB) May 6, 2009 -- Scientology Volunteer Ministers from the new Church of Scientology of Malmö, Sweden are helping their neighbors improve their lives. Through teaching people how to get and keep a job and how to study and by tackling such subjects as effective communication skills and conflict resolution, their volunteering efforts are helping Malmö cope with the most serious issues it faces today.

Swedish asylum laws are the most liberal in Europe, making Malmö a city of great diversity and a prime example of the challenges facing a continent in flux. Immigrants comprise almost 40 percent of the Malmö population. With the problem of learning the language and culture of their new country, as well as the hardships associated with greater than 50% unemployment in some immigrant neighborhoods, violence has erupted in recent months.

The Volunteer Ministers of the Church of Scientology of Malmö, carrying out their motto that "Something CAN be done about it," set up a huge yellow tent each weekend in some of the most volatile neighborhoods in and around Malmö. Inside the tent, thousands have received one-on-one help or attended seminars and workshops based on the works of L. Ron Hubbard to learn how to survive and prosper. Volunteers even tutor newcomers in the Swedish language - a vital ability for anyone seeking work in the country.

The Scientology Volunteer Ministers program is part of an international movement. It is a community service organization with a focus on natural disaster relief and emergency response. More than 100,000 strong it spans every continent of Earth. Scientology Volunteer Ministers work directly with community leaders, officials and private citizens. They respond to emergencies, doing whatever is needed to alleviate suffering and bring order and calm. And, because the technology they apply is simple and effective they can train others quickly so they too can provide help.

In the last year alone, the Scientology Volunteer Ministers in 114 countries have helped some 1.6 million people from all walks of life.
