By sharing memories with the bureau in our Holiday Jingle Blog contest,
bloggers could win a holiday vacation for six to fun and sun in
Scottsdale, Ariz. The bureau has continued to see an increase in blog
readership since launching the blog pages about two years ago.
“Travelers love to share their stories with
each other,” said Lauren Simons, vice
president of marketing for the Scottsdale Convention & Visitors Bureau. “The
Holiday Jingle Blog contest gives them a chance to interact on the bureau’s
web site and it gives us a chance to share Scottsdale with one lucky
family who deserves a holiday in paradise.”
The lucky winner will receive three rooms for three nights, one round of
golf for six and shopping opportunities for six provided by the
luxurious Boulders
Resort & Golden Door Spa. Round trip airfare for six also will
be provided via Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport –
just a 10-minute drive from downtown Scottsdale. Other prizes included
in the grand prize package: Margarita Tasting Tour and lunch for six
provided by Café
Carumba, dinner for six provided by Hotel
Valley Ho, Grand Canyon air tour for six provided by Papillon
Grand Canyon Helicopters, one round of golf for six
provided by ASU
Karsten Golf Course and $100 rental car certificate provided by

Creating a blog and entering the contest is as easy as 1, 2, 3!
Step 1: Visit the Scottsdale bureau’s blog
page and look for the login area
Step 2: Create an account
Step 3: Post your story, as well as a picture of your family or video
link. After all, a picture is worth a thousand words. Contest rules also
can be found at www.JingleBlogScottsdale.com.
The bureau will post the top 10 submissions online for voting. The story
with the most votes will be declared the winner. Submissions need to be
received by 5:00 p.m. (MST) Nov. 15, 2007. Voting will begin Nov. 16 and
will end Nov. 30, 2007. Family and friends are encouraged to visit the
blogs and add comments, story anecdotes and help contestants plead their
case.
The Scottsdale Convention & Visitors Bureau is responsible for marketing
Scottsdale as a world-class vacation, meeting and group travel
destination to national and international target audiences, including
meeting and incentive planners, travel agents, tour operators, leisure
visitors and the media.
