More than 100 artisans and fine crafters will converge just feet from the surf for the 29th annual Bethany Beach Boardwalk Arts Festival, held Sept. 8.

The single-day juried show features original works from local and regional artists working in a variety of forms and styles, including clay, drawing, glass, jewelry, photography, printmaking, photography and sculpture. Past shows have featured unique works by famed local photographers to distinctive chalks and oils from coastal favorites.

Mystic Warriors, world music artists, will perform from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Proceeds from the silent auction will benefit art programs at area elementary schools.

Held on the Bethany Beach Boardwalk from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., the event is free to the public. Organizers estimate 8,000-10,000 art enthusiasts will converge on the event.
