PakFormance™ is ideal for high volume pick and pack distribution centers, as it increases productivity and performance while cutting costs associated with labor, equipment service and operation.
Hodgkins, Ill. (PRWEB) April 20, 2010
Sealed Air, premier manufacturer of sustainable packaging solutions and packaging automation systems, will be showcasing an advanced, remote systems maintenance program at the North American Material Handling & Logistics Show (NA 2010), held at the I-X Center in Cleveland on April 26 to 29. The program, which will be on display at Sealed Air’s Booth #1204, is the PakFormance™ integration system, a highly developed packaging and preventive maintenance system that combines hardware, software, equipment and services to gather and sort packaging line information. PakFormance™ is used in conjunction with Sealed Air Automation's innovative Ultipack® and I-Pack® packaging systems.
"We are thrilled to be demonstrating our PakFormance™ system at NA 2010, allowing packaging professionals to fully understand the tool's robust diagnostic capabilities, and the positive impact that such innovative systems have on the industry as a whole," said Don Liebel, Business Engineer for Sealed Air Automation. "Basically, PakFormance™ allows a Sealed Air Automation customer at the North Pole to have the same level of service support as one that is right across the street from the factory."
The PakFormance™ system is made of PLCs and PCs, with associated equipment connected through an Ethernet network. It is supportable with professional data management and remote access, boasting a wide range of packaging line benefits that include monitoring capabilities for quick detection of problems, process automation for labor savings, product flow control, product tracking and traceability, remote maintenance, and powerful analysis and reporting tools. The PakFormance™ system allows remote service with Sealed Air's I-Pack® and Ultipack® packaging automation systems, which the company will also be exhibiting at NA 2010.
"PakFormance™ is ideal for high volume pick and pack distribution centers, as it increases productivity and performance while cutting costs associated with labor, equipment service and operation. As a preventive maintenance system, the PakFormance™ system has the ability to anticipate problems before they occur, leading to less downtime due to equipment failure as well as heightened productivity and a more reliable packaging process," says Liebel.
