Is search Engine Optimization Worth It? SEO and the ROI Debacle

Michael Murray, Fathom SEO's vice president for search engine marketing, has been selected for a panel at the prestigious Search Engine Strategies conference Aug. 20-23 in San Jose, Calif.

He will speak on "SEM Pricing Models," a new search track that explores the pros and cons of diverse search engine marketing pricing plans. The session is scheduled for August 22.

"I appreciate the opportunity to shed some light on the different options available in the industry," Murray said. "Everyone will get some great ideas about how to establish or adjust pricing."

Search engine marketing pricing should reflect many factors and shift over time as technology and services change, Murray said. Consultants should weigh where they're located, project duration, staff experience, types of offerings clients need, length and value of the business relationship, consistency issues, training and whether the contract language is easily understood, he said.

Fathom SEO, unlike many search engine marketing firms, makes its pricing available from its web site:
